Our equipment, on average, is about 200 lbs lighter than our competition allowing for fewer rut marks and better cutting quality on your home’s turf.

We account for rainy days to not damage your lawn and make up for the service when it is ideal for cutting. The company will not interrupt your weekends with monthly maintenance work; we want you to enjoy your family time and time off.

We are consistent within a 2-hour time frame for weekly service visits giving predictable service time at your property each week.

Bulldog Lawn & Landscaping
Bulldog Lawn & Landscaping was started in 2015 by Jarod Kolmetz. At age 16, he realized a gap in the marketplace for a professional lawn care company in Volusia County. Most companies in the area are owner/operator operations. Most of the time, companies need help understanding the proper mechanics behind running a successful business that can provide services at the standard their clients expect.
We strive to provide our clientele with quality lawn care & landscaping services. We are not the cheapest option; however, we provide the most value possible to our customers.

Timeline of the company
2015- Bulldog was officially founded. Jarod's goal was to spend the extra money and pay for his upcoming college bills. While attending Stetson University for a degree in finance with minors in entrepreneurship and marketing. Jarod had the opportunity to apprentice as a wealth manager with the goal of buying out his mentor's practice.
2017-2018-Jarod realized the importance of implementing technology and standardization to help better manage his company, his clients, and his time. While working 100-hour weeks and still attending college, the workload became unmanageable. Jarod decided it was best to drop out of Stetson with the realization of not wanting to pursue wealth management anymore and focus solely on the business. Jarod created the opportunity to buy out his 2nd lawncare customer base in Jacksonville, Florida.
2019-2021- Ok business, poor customer selection, bad marketing & going broke. Jarod would later refer to these three years as his "school of hard knocks" During this time, Bulldog & Jarod experienced the most professional and personal growth. With the buyout of the Jacksonville clients, Jarod used all of his money and a small loan from his brother to make the deal happen. Going from 60 to 150 clients, in theory, sounds incredible, and for the bank account, it was. However, it essentially broke the business! Going from one to two crews, doubling the employee count, doubling the active client list, and having no systems to manage two locations caused many problems.
The experience in Jacksonville was challenging, but excellent atmosphere for growth and development for the company. During this time, Jarod reached out to Tyler (Jarod's college fraternity brother) and started envisioning what the company should become and how to scale. Through Tyler's experience working in cooperate America, he brought new ideas he developed from working with Fortune 500 companies. Over the next 5 years, Tyler & Jarod developed internal controls for the company, built an initial tech stack, and focused on company standardization.
2022 & Forward- As we advance, we realize that it's our mission to be client driven and focused on giving our clients the best experience when dealing with our home service brand. With our ever-evolving world, we try to stay on top of industry trends and automation. This will help us keep prices consistent over a more extended period and lower overhead while not sacrificing service to our clients. We have several new releases planned for 2023, such as an app, educational blog, monthly data reports, and more!
